Differential Post Detection Integration Technique in the Return Link of Satellite CDMA Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
In the paper performance evaluation of a differential post detection integration (DPDI) technique for code acquisition in the Return Link of a Satellite CDMA system is carried out in the presence of Rician fading and non-ideal frequency recovery. In particular the preamble structure of IMT-2000 SW-CDMA air radio interface is considered for evaluating the missed detection and false alarm probabilities. An analytical approach is used for post detection integration length equals to one, whereas simulation results are provided both for validation purpose and for evaluation of more general cases. Finally, the achieved closed form expression for the false alarm probability allows to analytically compute the decision threshold. Differential and non-coherent post detection integration techniques for the return link of satellite W-CDMA systems
In the paper, the preamble structure of IMT-2000 SW-CDMA air radio interface is considered in the evaluation of the performance of different post detection integration techniques for code acquisition in the return link of a satellite W-CDMA system. In particular, non-coherent post detection integration (NCPDI) and two different options of differential post detection integration (DPDI) technique...
متن کاملFrame Acquisition for Continuous and Discontinuous Transmission in the Forward Link of Ka-band Satellite Systems
This paper presents a novel frame acquisition design procedure for the forward link of Ka-band satellite systems. Multiand single-dwell procedures are considered for continuous and discontinuous transmission, respectively. To cope with large frequency errors, the detector employs post detection integration and is based on the threshold crossing (TC) criterion. In particular, non coherent and di...
متن کاملNonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems
Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...
متن کاملBit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)
In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...
متن کاملService Availability and Capacity Improvement of Land Mobile Satellite Systems (LMSS) Using Diversity Techniques
In order to enhance the availability and the offered Quality of Service (QoS), Land Mobile Satellite Systems (LMSS) will have the option to use simultaneous transmission via two or more satellite as diversity. In this paper the performance of a TDMA and CDMA single user return link employing such a diversity reception is investigated by means of computer simulation using a three state mobile sa...
